Community Update - October 2024
Hello Forfolk!
As we move into the fall season, we’re excited to share the fantastic progress our team has made throughout October.
This post is jam packed with information on new projects, enhancements to released content in-app, and new team members!
New Projects Announced
Above and Below Haunted - Narrative Companion
Red Raven is returning to Above and Below for its 10-year anniversary with the brand-new standalone sequel: Above and Below: Haunted.
Look for the All-In or the Forteller add-on to show your support!
Story of Many - Narrative Companion
Story of Many is a grimdark TTRPG in a box cooperative boardgame with a rich storyline of sprawling choose-your-own-adventure decision making.
Forteller will be narrating the massive story and providing bonus soundscapes to accompany your adventuring group while you play.
Deck of Wonders Expansion - Narrative Companion
Furia Games is adding a new villain that controls a living dungeon in this expansion: The Master of Dungeons. Current Forteller owners of Deck of Wonders will get this narration for free, while newcomers to can back now and add the entire base game and expansion narration.
This is a great solo and light co-op card game that packs up small and is easy to travel with.
Oath to Embers - Narrative Companion
Oath to Embers is a unique project led by the talented owner of Black Lotus Tattoo Gallery and Ink Master (as seen on Spike TV's Inkmasters) Halo Grey.
We are codeveloping the narrative experience alongside the playtesting sessions with the development of the game itself.

Sleeping Gods and The Tides of Ruin
We’re thrilled to announce that we have completed our updates to Sleeping Gods and Tides of Ruin, focusing on enhancing the reward formatting.
Our goal was to provide a clearer and succinct decision and reward structure that is easier to read.
This improvement aims to provide a more streamlined and engaging experience for players, ensuring that every adventure feels rewarding.
Tanares Adventures Ultimate
Book 2 was released at the end of September and Book 3 is well underway.
We hear the community feedback on the delivery times and want to share:
- We've added an additional sound designer during Book 2 that is actively working on Book 3 as a duo engineering team
- We understand timing is important, but we still do not want to rush and risk quality - the acceleration we've added is done strategically and safely
Secret Projects in the works
Expanding the Deck of Many Dice ecosystem
We have been hard at work on two secret projects that incorporate our exciting new product, The Deck of Many Dice.
While we can’t share too much just yet, we’re confident that these projects will bring fresh and innovative gameplay experiences to the community.

New DmD design: 16bit Pixel
This retro console inspired design has its errata fixed. We’ve received the update pack for the 16bit Pixel Deck of Many Dice design! This update pack contains replacement cards for the errata reprint.
Like all products we create, we stand by and honor the quality, ensuring accuracy and commitment.
This fan-favorite product is now available in our online store.

New Forteller Family Members
We are excited to welcome Mike Tomasek and Jason McCracken to the Forteller family!
Mike Tomasek (left)
Mike is a talented writer known for his work on Vampire: The Masquerade and many other projects. He joins the team as Creative Writer.
Mike's experience and creativity will be invaluable as we continue to expand our storytelling universe and develop new games.
We can’t wait to see the magic he brings to our team!
Jason McCracken (right)
Jason is an industry veteran and voice actor that we are excited to have on the team as our Events and Sales Manager. He’s been a friend for a long time and we’re happy to have him.
Jason has worked at many different conventions over the years and has tremendous experience needed to help us create a stable convention schedule and manage the booth at all the cons we plan to attend next year.
