Do I need the Forteller app on every device?
Only one device in your group needs the Forteller app to play the companion. Connect via Bluetooth or set your device's volume loud enough for the whole table to hear. The app is free on iOS, Android, and web — no subscription required.
Do I need to own the board game?
Yes, you'll need the physical board game to use its narrative companion. Each Forteller companion is designed specifically for a particular game, so you should have both the game and the companion for the full experience.
Will this spoil my game?
No. Forteller companions are written to complement your game session without spoiling the game's story. Our narrators work from the game's design, not its plot, so you experience the story together with the narration—exactly as intended.
What if my group stops halfway?
That's totally fine. You can pause and resume the companion anytime. Each companion is organized into natural story beats, so you can stop at a good narrative moment and pick it up where you left off in a future session.
What devices does Stage run on?
Forteller Stage works on iOS, Android, and the web. Whether you're on a phone, tablet, or laptop, you can access and play your narrative companions. The experience is optimized for each platform, so it works great wherever you are.
What's your return policy?
Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let us know and we'll do our best to work with you to make it right. Most returns are processed quickly, and we stand behind everything we sell.
